5 pillars of Belief
of the Arcadia Christian church

1. Who God is
I believe the Bible teaches there is one true God who is the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.  He is the creator of man and all things.
1 John 3:1, John 1:1-5, 14; John 14:15-17

    2. Bible:
I believe the Bible is God’s message of absolute truth to His people.  It is divinely inspired, the supreme and final authority for faith and life.  On all belief issues we ask, “What does the Bible Say?”
2 Timothy 3:16; Proverbs 30:5; Psalms 119:11, 105; Isaiah 40:8

3.Judgment:
I believe the Bible teaches that death seals the eternal destiny of each person.  Those who surrender their lives to Jesus will receive eternal reward in Heaven.  Those who reject Him will suffer eternal punishment and separation from God.
Hebrews 9:27; Romans 6:23; 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9

4. Salvation:
I believe the Bible teaches that one receives God’s grace by putting faith in Christ, repenting of sin, confessing Him as Lord, and being immersed into Him.  None of these is sufficient in and of itself for the assurance of salvation.  Salvation, the forgiveness of sin, is a gift offered to everyone.  “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.”
Acts 2:38; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-9

5. The Church:
  I believe the Bible teaches the church is the body of Christ on Earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and its purpose is to build up the believers and connect the unconnected to Jesus Christ.  Acts 1:8; 1 Thessalonians 5:11;
Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-47
